The need for effective speech therapy practices for bilingual and multilingual learners continues to grow. This presentation aims to provide professionals in the field of speech-language pathology with a basic overview of relevant background information and a better understanding of the necessary components for appropriate speech-language evaluations for bilingual learners. In addition, attendees will learn of common treatment areas and helpful activity examples to better support their clients. Research based information, video demonstrations, clinical experience, and helpful tips and strategies will be used to encourage improved and effective practices to provide appropriate speech therapy supports for bilingual students.
